Introduction! - LaserTagFun
Hello!
My cousin and I just each got a BRX and came across this site. So glad to be able to find so much info in one place!
Also if anyone has a BRX and lives in the LA, Orange County Area we do meet up once a week to play laser tag in parking structures and such and would like any extra players.

Hey! I’m in Pasadena/Arcadia area. Where are you playing? I’ve got 4 BRX’s and people to play.

We mainly play on Cal State Fullerton's parking structures and have been using the Nerf Laser Pro Ops taggers. We bring cardboard boxes to create temporary barriers and the multiple floors lets you change position easily. We've tried other colleges but most kick us off the property unfortunately.
We haven't yet had a real game with the BRX. We will be testing them out this weekend to see how the increased range works in the structure since the Nerf seems to cap out around 200 feet.

You might need to pick up some actual rifle scopes to test out the BRX's range then...LaserTagFun wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 11:59 pmWe mainly play on Cal State Fullerton's parking structures and have been using the Nerf Laser Pro Ops taggers. If you can manage to get permission to play somewhere let me know. I have 4 (possibly soon to be 6) BRX’s and as many people. Working on a bunker solution as well.LaserTagFun wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 11:59 pmWe mainly play on Cal State Fullerton's parking structures and have been using the Nerf Laser Pro Ops taggers. I find that the look and sound of the BRX is jarring enough to make permission to use the space a pre-requisite for playing. Especially on a school campus.

Yes, in order to check the range you’ll need a legit scope. I’ve been able to land hits as far as I’ve attempted. Max I’ve tested (limited because I’m in a city) is a little over a thousand feet shooting from the back of my warehouse, through warehouse, through office, across the road to the opposite hillside apoartments where we had a guy w a headset watching for tags and he would raise his hand each time it hit because at the range and sun exposure we couldn’t see the colors on the headset to be sure. Was using a 10x scope.

Public parks and open trails and neighborhoods are where we play w no issues in San Diego. Had a guy call the police in us once and a city parks/rec person call is in. But the PD wouldn’t respond to the complaint that some guys and kids are playing laser tag in the park.
